After graduating from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, I relocated to Atlanta, GA from Nashville, TN and was invited to attend an NAAAHR Atlanta chapter meeting in 2005. I joined the chapter after attending my first meeting. My membership over the past 4 years has been extremely beneficial towards my career advancement within the Human Resources profession. The NAAAHR meetings not only educate me with the latest HR trends, but I regard the members of NAAAHR as family.
Participation with the Career Management Workshops sponsored by NAAAHR is a phenomenal benefit to all members. The workshops allowed me to better understand myself and the value I bring to organizations. This knowledge gave me the confidence needed during my job search. I am very happy to say that I received a job offer one week after I attended the second workshop! The Career Management Workshops are also beneficial to individuals looking to advance within their current company.
Benefits of being a member with NAAAHR Atlanta chapter are incredible. I have a lifetime commitment to this organization and will continue to enjoy networking with the members and visitors each meeting.
